Let’s get started!
Penguin Cookie Recipe
Honestly, I don’t know how much this recipe contributes to the daily value, but it is really tasty! I have seen Oreo penguin cookies before, but these are much better!
Using the following ingredients will give you the best way to make these Christmas cookies and easy prep time.
- Peanut Butter Sandwich Cookies
- Chocolate Wafers
- White Chocolate Wafers
- M&Ms in orange
- Candy eyes
I love how easy it is to decorate cookies in the shape of penguins. The recipe seems more complicated than it is, but once you discover that it doesn’t require baking at all, you’re sure to fall in love with it.
My friend used a couple of cookie sheets to place her oreo penguins on to dry and another friend used an ungreased cookie sheet for her shortbread cookies.
We just used a plate to set them on after they came out of the dark chocolate.
In order to temper chocolate, slowly heat it while stirring it. It will be difficult to properly melt if you do not temper the chocolate properly. In the microwave, you can easily and quickly temper chocolate. In the microwave, heat the chocolate in 30 second intervals using a medium bowl.
How to Make Penguin Cookies
#1 – To begin, dip your peanut butter cookie into the melted chocolate.
#2 – The next step in this blog post is to place a white chocolate wafer in the center of the adorable penguin cookies.
Isn’t this white chocolate wafer penguin body tummy so cute? I can never look at white candy melts the same way again after this. This is just too cute!
#3 – After that, the candy eyes are placed on the little guys. The easiest way to do this is to press them right into the milk chocolate.
#4 – After the candy eyes are attached, a yellow M&M (beak) will be added in the middle, representing the penguin’s nose.
#5 – As a final step, add two orange M&Ms to the bottom of the cookie to represent the penguins’ feet.
Another decorating process I’ve seen includes using a round cookie cutter and black fondant for the penguin body. Additionally, white icing, white fondant shapes, or white chocolate chips can be applied to oreo cookies. The M&Ms can even be replaced with other orange candies.
Once the cute treats are made, you can easily wrap them in plastic wrap and hand them out at a cookie exchange or eat them yourself. When we make them for a special occasion, we eat the extra mini m&m sweet treats.
Penguin Cookie Cutter
Here’s a cookie cutter that might interest you: a penguin. The cookie cutter makes cookies that are approximately 4 inches wide and 4 inches high. What a cute cutter. I’m naming him Cookie the Penguin. As baking cookies is one of my children’s favorite activities, I may get this one for Christmas. A circular cookie cutter is also recommended.
Penguin Cookie Jar
Both my sister and my son love this animal, and my sister makes the most delicious chocolate chip cookies. I don’t know if it’s wheat flour, unsalted butter, all purpose flour, a flour mixture. Perhaps she uses skim milk or low-fat milk in her recipe.
I try to peek at her working surface when she is on FaceTime but she is a sneaky thing, lol. There’s a secret ingredient that’s so yummy! I will get her to share it with us one of these days and keep you posted
Although, since she loves penguins so much, maybe for Christmas I should get her this penguin cookie jar. It looks like it came right from the South Pole or from Santa at the North Pole in this manner. THIS IS SO COOL.
With melted chocolate and a few easy ingredients, you can whip up a no-bake cookie in no time. It’s great that you can get a penguin cookie cutter and even make penguin cookies and store them in a penguin cookie jar. What a wonderful gift idea for animal lovers or for the holidays. A cup of cheer, an Elf Mason jar, or this super rad DIY food basket are just a few other ways you can make a fun gift idea.
We hope you enjoy this adorable way of an easy Penguin Cookies Recipe!
